Back at the end of October, Sophia lost her first tooth. She quickly followed by loosing another a week or two later. It was a very exciting time in the Moon household. But, she didn't want to give her teeth away to the tooth fairy. She just wouldn't give them up. Cash has little value to her. So, we let her keep them thinking eventually the novelty would wear off and she would finally put them under her pillow.
Well, thank you Junie B. Jones! After reading a chapter into "Junie B. Jones, The Toothless Wonder," Sophia decided she would turn her teeth over to the tooth fairy. She decorated an envelope, put her teeth in, and actually left it under her pillow. Chris and I didn't think she'd actually do it. And of course, if you know me you know I NEVER have cash. It spends way too easily! So we found $2 in quarters for her 2 teeth and Chris tied them together in a cute little bow. We then put them in an envelope under her pillow.
At 1:12 AM, she ran into our room so excited because the tooth fairy had come! FINALLY! She did announce that she had another loose tooth and she might give it to the tooth fairy when it falls out. We'll cross our fingers!
